Tommie Roesch

Tommie Roesch

My name is Tommie Roesch and I am a certified Blind and low Vision teacher, and an Orientation and Mobility instructor. I have been in the blind and low vision field for 25 years. I have spent most of this time in Ohio teaching at various school districts. I have been in Indiana for nine years and I enjoy working in Indiana. In addition, I have been working with students in Illinois both virtually and in person. One of my favorite things to teach is Braille because it is both challenging and very well organized to teach. I love to read and write in braille, and my favorite things to do is Nemeth code, math problems. In particular, I love to do calculus in Nemeth code for the fun of it. Teaching Nemeth code is a lot of fun and it opens the student to a world of math that we would not get in another form of Braille. In addition, I love to work with students out in the community and give them real-life experiences through my orientation and mobility degree. It is great to be able to use both of my degrees in a way that challenges the students and creates a wonderful way of educating the whole student. It gives me great joy to see a student thrive and reach for the stars.

Mindy Meadows

My name is Mindyann (Mindy) Meadows. I have been an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) since 2016. I went to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Tx for my O&M program. I have been certified since Jan. of 2022. I am currently going to school for my Vision Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) program. I am thinking about going back to school to be a TVI (teacher of the visually impaired). I love serving people from cradle to grave in this beautiful field. My heart for this company is to continue serving and growing with new skills to serve the population of visually impaired. I believe in the whole person philosophy. I believe in meeting people where they are at and working towards their goals. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve so many schools, vocational rehabilitation, and babies. I also serve in the community as a chaplain/ordained minister.
