Hello everyone,
I know that being a traveling BLV or TVI, whichever you like to
be called, is pretty typical for our jobs. We can work for one
district, but we still have to travel to all of the different schools
within that district. It is a great job with a lot of time in your car.
I just thought I would start sharing some of the unique things
that have happened to me on the road.
My most recent mishap or adventure happened two weeks ago
when I was driving on the highway. I was just talking on my
phone with my business partner and all of a sudden, my driver’s
side window explodes and glass goes everywhere. The sound
was so loud that it sounded like a gun shot went out. I pulled
over and had to take a breath and clean myself off because the
glass was everywhere. After a few minutes, I got back on the
road and continued on my way, with the window down (lol).
Unfortunately, I had to cancel the rest of my students that day so
that I could get my car window fixed. I know these things
happen, but I have never had this happen to me before. It was
definitely a scary and now a strange twist to my week. I know
that many things happen on the road that we have shared with
family members and other friends. I encourage you to share your stories on this page of our website to inspire others and help
